Chun-Hsin (Cynthia) Liu
Chun-Hsin (Cynthia) Liu, originally from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is currently pursuing her DMA degree in Piano Accompanying and Chamber Music at the Eastman School of Music, where she holds Graduate Assistantships in Studio Accompanying and Opera, studying with Dr. Andrew Harley. Chun-Hsin has received numerous awards and scholarships, including Outstanding Graduate Award (2019), William and Joycelyn Macy Sloan Scholarship (2021-2022), The Barbara M. H. Koeng Award (2021), Excellence in Accompanying Award (2022) and first prizes from several piano competitions, as both soloist and duo partner.
In January 2022, Chun-Hsin was one of ten pianists selected to participate in SongStudio, working with Renée Fleming and Hartmut Höll and performing in Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall. Later that year, she was accepted into the Vocal Collaborative Piano Program at the Aspen Music Festival and School. In June, 2022, Chun-Hsin attended SongFest, working with such distinguished artists as Jake Heggie, Graham Johnson, Martin Katz, and Libby Larsen.
