Elisheva Pront
Israeli-American soprano, Elisheva Pront, aims to cultivate a compassionate understanding of our humanity through music by creating impactful art in collaborative environments. As a chamber artist she has performed repertoire in the concert series Just Bach in Madison, WI, as well as with the percussion-vocal ensemble, Column. In 2021, Column was named a finalist and earned honorable mention from The American Prize in Chamber Music Performance.
As a recitalist, Elisheva has performed in North America, Austria, and Israel. Elisheva has experience and thrives in a variety of musical styles and settings. She particularly enjoys performing new music and collaborating with composers, having recently premiered several new compositions through the Peabody Institute’s Opera Études Program.
Elisheva is also an accomplished stage director. She has assistant directed Les Mamelles de Tirésias under Alison Moritz (Peabody Opera) and Le Nozze di Figaro with David Ronis (UW-Madison). She also co-directed the premier of the Peabody LAUNCH Grant supported musical Senior Year is Gonna Kill Me.
Elisheva spent the fall of 2017 performing and studying at the Institute for the International Education of Students (IES Abroad) in Vienna, Austria. Other festivals she has performed with include Classical Singing and New York in June, the Utah Vocal Arts Academy Summer Opera Festival, and Classic Lyric Arts-French Repertoire. Elisheva earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the Peabody Institute while studying with Professor Tony Arnold.
