Ellen Boll
Ellen Boll is a collaborative pianist, piano instructor, and vocal coach based in central Pennsylvania. Ms. Boll currently serves on the faculty at Lycoming College as an Adjunct Professor of Piano and staff pianist in addition to maintaining a private piano studio in Williamsport, PA. She also frequently coaches and performs with the vocal students at Mansfield University. Ms. Boll worked as a Visiting Guest Professor of Opera Coaching at Penn State University for the Fall 2023 semester and has appeared in performances at Penn State University, Mansfield University, Lycoming College, Florida State University, Bob Jones University, and Wheaton College. As a choral pianist, Ms. Boll has performed with the Williamsport Civic Chorus, the Lycoming College Choir, and the Wheaton College Women’s Chorale. She is an alumna of summer festivals La Musica Lirica (Novafeltria, Italy), the Collaborative Piano Institute (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), Camp Musical des Laurentides (Saint-Adolphe-d’Howard, Quebec), Masterworks Festival (Spartanburg, South Carolina), and Credo Chamber Music Festival (Oberlin, Ohio).
Ms. Boll holds an M.M. in Piano Accompanying from Florida State University and a B.M. in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Wheaton College. Her primary teachers include Timothy Hoekman, Valerie Trujillo, Karin Edwards, Amanda Gunderson, and Kilsun Kim. Ms. Boll is excited to join the studio of Anita Pontremoli at the Cleveland Institute of Music in the fall of 2024 where she will pursue a Graduate Diploma in Collaborative Piano.
