Hong Liang Andre Ng

Hong Liang "Andre" Ng is a recent graduate of the Doctor of Musical Arts in Collaborative Piano Performance at North Dakota State University, Challey School of Music. He is a passionate pianist who enjoys working with singers and instrumentalists and actively seeking opportunities for recital collaborations.

As an opera lover, he involved himself in various opera productions in NDSU Opera and Fargo-Moorhead Opera as a répétiteur and rehearsal pianist. Recent involvement includes Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro, Handel's Giulio Cesare, Jack Heggie's Three Decembers, and Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. Hong Liang will return to NDSU as an assistant music director for Mozart's Die Zauberflöte this academic year of 2022-2023. He also joined various music festivals to improve his craftmanship further and share his love of music-making. He was involved in NDSU's Chamber Music Festivals and collaborated with world-renowned performers such as violinist Grace Park, cellist Paul Wiancko, cellist Collin Carr, and mezzo-soprano Clara Osowski. He was a piano fellow at Bay View Music Festival in 2019 for their mainstage opera production, Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. He was also an alum of MNDuo Minnesota's Song Source Festival in 2016. Hong Liang earned his master's degree with an Outstanding Award from Middle Tennessee State University and Bachelor's degree from UCSI University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
