Jane Anderson

Jane Andersen, soprano, has performed in operas, oratorios and professional choirs for decades. She  moved to Minnesota after receiving her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance to sing with The Dale  Warland Singers. In 2008, Dale chose her for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra Chorale assembled to  celebrate their 50th season, where she soloed with Nicholas McGegan and Thomas Zehetmair. She also  sang with the Ensemble Singers of the Plymouth Music Series (now Vocal Essence) and performed the  role of Lilas Pastia in the Tony-award winning Theatre de la Jeune Lune’s production of Carmen.

For the last decade, Jane has served as “bonus” soprano section leader, soloist and vocal coach at All  Saints Episcopal Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A devoted teacher of singing, she has taught private  voice lessons at the high school, collegiate and adult levels. Her background in Bel Canto Italian vocal  technique was honed in Milan, Italy under the tutelage of Signora Rita Patané. Jane believes building a  chorus begins with building individual voices, and thoroughly enjoys working with choirs.

Most recently, Jane has been an active recitalist in Minnesota and Florida and is soloist and paid soprano  section leader in the Master Chorale of South Florida.

In her spare time, Jane enjoys cooking, gardening, snorkeling, bird-watching and Pilates with her  husband and executive producer, Leo.
