Michele Wong

Michele Wong is currently pursuing her MM in collaborative piano at IU under the tutelage of Kevin Murphy and Aram Arakelyan, after recently completing her BM in piano performance at the Eastman School of Music. She will begin her DMA studies at the Juilliard School in the Fall with Dr. Lydia Brown. She also previously studied privately with Ann Schein. Michele was the first ever featured Next Generation Artist featured by the Omega Ensemble, where she performed with artists such as members of the Escher string quartet, and she has also been a featured performer in the Howland Chamber Music Circle series as well as the Empire Film and Media Ensemble (including in their radio broadcasts). Michele has coached or performed in masterclasses with artists such as Graham Johnson, Martin Katz, Warren Jones, Kathleen Kelly, Craig Rutenberg, Frederica von Stade, Carol Vaness, and members of the Ying, Jupiter and Juilliard string quartets. She has also coached with composers such as Ben Moore, Jake Heggie, and John Harbison on performances of their works. In the summer of 2022, Michele attended Songfest at the San Francisco Conservatory as one of their Stern Fellows. In previous years, she participated in the Collaborative Piano Institute, as well as being accepted into the Aspen Summer Music Festival’s collaborative piano program in 2020. She has also performed in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was featured as a concerto soloist with various orchestras on Long Island and Connecticut.
