Soroush Sadeghi
Soroush Sadeghi is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano degree at Indiana University Bloomington Jacobs School of Music. He is a Graduate Assistant in the Chamber and Collaborative Music Department and works under the tutelage of esteemed instructors Anne Epperson and Kevin Murphy.
Before moving to Indiana, Mr. Sadeghi established himself as an accomplished collaborative pianist at various universities, music schools, and music festivals in Iran. He collaborated with the Tehran Opera Ensemble on several projects, including Hansel and Gretel, Les Miserables, and The Sound of Music, and performed with different large ensembles and orchestras, including the Tehran Symphonic Orchestra, under the baton of conductors Alexander Rahbari.
In addition to his performance career, Mr. Sadeghi has released two albums. His latest album, "From Italy to Persia," recorded in 2022 by ARS Produktion, features collaborations with oboist Aryan Gheitasi and has been marketed in Europe, Japan, and the United States. "Oblivion," recorded in 2019 by Raha Music Production in Iran, is a collaborative effort with the Tehran Quintet, and won the Silver Medal in the 2020 Global Music Awards for "Best Album" and "Best Ensemble."
Mr. Sadeghi has also had the opportunity to participate in master classes with renowned pianists Rohan Da Silva, David Kaplan, and Christiane Karajeva.
This summer, Mr. Sadeghi will be working as a staff pianist at the Interlochen art camps. He has also been selected for the Collaborative Piano Fellowship at Operation Opera 2023, California State University, Sacramento.
